Verde came to me on Twitter to ask if I could review their album. It might have been done a while ago, but I said yes, and I definitely enjoyed listening to it.
From Long Island, New York, and without all the little techno bits that accompany the top-name singers, we get to hear from Verde the essence of rock. And it sounds spectacular. It might only be five songs, but they’re full of passion.
“All In Due Time” kicks off the five-track EP. The first thing that hooks me is the catchy, boppy rhythm. I’ve never heard that in hard rock music; usually it’s headbanging and hard. But I like the lyrics, especially the title. In essence, “all things come in due time”
To finish as “dessert” we have “Direction” and “Me Too”. Dan Howell, Ron Labriola, Sean Alley and Steve Blair have created something special from very little, and you can listen to it again and again without feeling like your ears have been destroyed by a tornado.
